Ongoing Roof Leak in Miami, FL

Mold can begin to grow on drywall as soon as 24-72 hours upon being exposed to water. Yet, the growth can begin within and go unnoticed until it has spread vastly and becomes visible on the outside. As was the case in this shoe store. There was an ongoing roof leak that went unnoticed until it was visible in the staff room. They immediately contacted SERVPRO® of North Miami to provide an estimate and soon as it was approved, we went to work. A containment was put up in the staff room, the minimize the potential for further exposure to the affected area. SERVPRO® crew then sanitized and treated the area accordingly. An air scrubber was left in place for the area to be tested by a hygienist and once the negative mold test was received; the repairs were made and the staff continued to use the area without having any interruption to their business.
